With seven miles of sandy beaches and loads of green open spaces surrounded by forest, this is the ideal place for a family day out. Why not visit the dry ski slope while you are here.

  • Millennium Coastal Park

After a massive regeneration exercise, the Millennium coastal Park runs along the coast from Carmarthenshire's border with Swansea in the east. On its way to the historic castle town of Kidwelly it passes near the Wildfowl and Wetlands centre, Llanelli's North Dock and Burry Port Harbour.

Best of all, you can cycle in safety all the way along its 13 miles of cycle path, maybe stopping at the cafe on Llanelli Beach for an espresso to help you on the way.

(The link on the photo below leads to a Google search because the Park's website is out of date, but the Park itself is great)
